Internal Lighting Scheme
Details:
The Church, as it stands today, was built in 1672 by the office of Sir Christopher Wren, however there is reference to a Church on this site from as far back as 1144. The Church, built after the Great fire of London, is an elegant example of a Christopher Wren design.
In 2014 the Church opened a Café called 'The Wren'. The Wren operates throughout the week as an independent establishment to serve the community.
Due to the historical significance of the Church the Lighting at St Nicholas Cole Abbey was/is very limited. CES were approached to aid in the update of the lighting to LED and to improve the overall lighting levels and effect. In the first phase of this project the up-lighters located on the outer walls were replaced by LED luminaires better catered for the application and the suspended pendants lamps replaced for LED bulbs.
The next phase is currently in the design phase and more details will be released when the project is completed.
