Internal Lighting Scheme
Details:
The CES team recently completed a lighting upgrade for Queens' College Chapel, transforming the historic space with modern LED technology. The goal was to create a lighting scheme that highlights the architectural beauty of the chapel while enhancing the functionality of the space for a variety of uses, including live-streaming services. Our discreet lighting design emphasises key architectural features, such as up-lighting the chapel's windows to mirror the natural entry of light, illuminating the triptych and altar, and discreetly lighting service areas and choir stalls.
This project was a success, achieving both ambience and operational efficiency through a flexible control system. This user-friendly, one-button system offers preset lighting scenes to suit various events and services, making it easier for the chapel to adjust the atmosphere effortlessly. The result is a carefully balanced scheme that supports Queens' College's needs and brings the space's historic character into sharp relief for all who visit or tune in remotely.
